Kría Guesthouse is located in Borgarnes, a charming town in West Iceland, about 70 km north of Reykjavik. Borgarnes is located by a beautiful fjord, Borgarfjordur, that offers some stunning natural scenes and a rich cultural heritage. Tourism has been growing in the area in recent years, and more people are seeing it as the perfect get away from Reykjavik.
Borgarnes is a convenient stop when travelling around Iceland. This is because of its location on route 1 – the ring road that runs around the country. Borgarnes is therefore an important link to other parts of the country, and a popular stop amongst people that are on their way to Snæfellsnes, or the northern part of Iceland.
